Output Style Instructions

 

QuikBib strives for accuracy in all output styles. We recommend verifying that there are no new style instructions before submitting your paper.  Always check your reference list for accuracy.

 

Harvard (Author/Date Style).    

 

References should be sorted by last name’s (including all authors) then by year published (most current first) and title.  References are displayed with a “hanging indent” on the second and subsequent lines of the reference.

 

 

Authors:

If there is no author in a reference QuikBib will substitute the title.  Author name’s should be entered last name first followed by a comma, first and middle initial with periods and no spaces in between (e.g., Jones, J.D.) All author names should be listed.

 

Periodical:

Use full journal names for the periodical if available. 

 

 

Journal Sample:

Halpern, S.D., Ubel, P.A. & Caplan, A.L. 2002, "Solid-organ transplantation in HIV-infected patients.", New England Journal of Medicine, vol. 347, pp. 284-287.

 

Book Sample:

Murray, P.R., Rosenthal, K.S., Kobayashi, G.S. & Pfaller, M.A. 2002, Medical Microbiology, 4th edn, Mosby, St. Louis.
